Privacy Policy

The Quit Smoking, Vaping, Alcohol app is built on a simple idea: what you're quitting is your business. This policy explains what data the app handles, where it lives, and who can see it — in plain language.

Your quit data stays on your device

Everything you enter about your habits — trackers, quit dates, slips, milestones, habit costs, notes — is stored locally on your device. It is not uploaded to our servers, and we do not have a copy. There is no account, no public profile, and no social feed.

Because this data lives only on your device, deleting the app deletes it. Standard device backups (like iCloud or Android device backup) may include it, under Apple's or Google's own encryption and terms.

What we do collect

Three narrow things are collected — two by third-party services inside the app, one by this website:

• Usage analytics (Firebase Analytics, Google). Anonymous events about how the app is used — for example, which screens are opened or where onboarding is abandoned — so we can improve it. This does not include the content of your trackers: not what habit you're quitting, not your quit dates, not your notes.
• Purchases (RevenueCat, Apple, and Google). If you subscribe to the Premium upgrade, the payment is processed entirely by Apple (App Store) or Google (Google Play). RevenueCat, our subscription-management provider, receives an anonymous identifier and transaction receipts so your purchase can be validated and restored. We never see your payment details.
• This website (quitcompass.com). We count page views and taps on the App Store and Google Play buttons, so we can tell which pages are actually useful. This is recorded on our own server, without cookies, without your IP address, and without any identifier that could be traced back to you or link one visit to another — which is why this site shows no cookie banner.

What we never do

• We do not sell your data — to anyone, for anything.
• We do not show third-party ads or share data with ad networks.
• We do not require an account, email address, or phone number to use the app.
• Your habit and recovery data never leaves your device to reach us.

Data deletion

Deleting the app removes all locally stored quit data. If you would like associated purchase records or analytics identifiers deleted as well, email us and we will handle the request with our providers.

Children

The app is not directed at children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect data from them.

Changes to this policy

If we change how data is handled, we will update this page and the effective date above before the change takes effect.
