Free cost calculator
Enter what you spend on cigarettes, vaping or alcohol and see what it adds up to over a month, a year, five years and ten years. Everything is calculated on your device and never sent anywhere.
Enter an amount above zero to see what it adds up to.
Based on a 365-day year.
The calculator turns what you spend into a daily figure, then scales it up. Weekly spending is divided by 7, monthly spending is multiplied by 12 and divided by 365, and the yearly cost is the daily figure times 365. The monthly cost is a twelfth of that, and the 5 and 10 year totals are simply 5 and 10 times the yearly cost.
It assumes your spending stays the same and ignores price changes and interest, so treat the result as a plain multiplication of your own numbers. See what you have already saved with the sobriety calculator.
Also see your milestones in the quit timeline calculator.
It converts your spending to a daily amount, using a 365-day year: a weekly amount is divided by 7 and a monthly amount is multiplied by 12 then divided by 365. The yearly cost is the daily amount times 365, the monthly cost is the yearly cost divided by 12, and the 5 and 10 year figures are 5 and 10 times the yearly cost.
Include everything you regularly pay for the habit: packs or cartons, vape pods, liquids and devices, or drinks at home, in bars and in restaurants. If your spending varies, add up a typical month and enter it per month for the most realistic total.
Once you tell the app what you used to spend, it counts the money you have saved automatically from your quit date and adds to it every day, alongside your streak and milestones. Nothing needs to be logged by hand.
Quit Compass tracks your money saved automatically from your quit date, next to your streak and milestones. Download it for iPhone or Android.
